wallbase.cc url's a bit buggy

Asked by Rich J on 2014-06-08

This is likely due to wallbase and not your app, but perhaps you can lead me in the right direction.

Trying to put a wallbase URL such as

Heeds no results via variety

my hunch is the toplist?section=wallpaper part is new to wallbase and throwing off your syntax.

However just wanted to confirm with you either way.

Thanks and appreciate the wonderful app!

Assuming you are on Variety 0.4.18? The URL above works OK in Variety on my machine. Can you run Variety with -v (/opt/extras.ubuntu.com/variety/bin/variety -v), remove this URL from your sources and try adding it again, then send me the log file (~/.config/variety/variety.log).

Hi Peter,

Yes to latest version.

Deleted URL. Quit Variety. Restarted Variety, added URL. No help.

Also my log file is empty

rj@luna:~/.config/variety$ ls -lFah variety.log
-rw-rw-r-- 1 rj rj 0 Jun 8 13:57 variety.log

Peter Levi (peterlevi) said : #3

Run it with "-v" to have a log file.

It's being odd in the fact that it's downloading the same wall over and over, and that 1 only. every 2mins.

I'm sure this is something with my URL, just not sure what since it loads a whole bunch of stuff in a browser.
