What is searched with the "Free text search" in Flickr?

Asked by Maik

I was wondering what is really searched with the "Free text search" in the Flickr options: "all of this words" "exact phrase" "any of this words" ?

It does not seem to be the later ("any of this words") so, to add this option in future versions would be great

To be fair, I'm not sure of the exact logic. Here is what the Flickr API says (http://www.flickr.com/services/api/flickr.photos.search.html):

text (Optional)
A free text search. Photos who's title, description or tags contain the text will be returned. You can exclude results that match a term by prepending it with a - character.

But after some tests, I can say it is definitely not "any of the words". To achieve this, you can simply define several Flickr sources for each of the words you're interested in and use them together.

Can you help with this problem?
