Translate datetime string

Asked by Pierre R.

Hi,
I just installed Variety Wallpaper changer and I have to say that I'm very impressed with the result. This is just what I was looking for.
The only problem I'm facing is how to convert the datetime string to its equivalent in french. Do you think it's feasible?
Thanks.
Pierre

You mean the clock and date that are drawn by the "Clock" option, right?
The strings that are used there are supposed to be localized according to your Ubuntu language setting. If I set my language to Bulgarian (which I think requires a restart to take effect), I get Bulgarian strings in that clock display.
Here's someone using it in Greek fro example: http://osarena.net/eyecandies/variety-enas-wallpaer-changer.html

You were right. The Regional settings for display dates and time were not set correctly in my language settings so the default language (english) appplied even if the system language was set to french.
Sorry for this and thanks for your quik answer.
