If I upgrade it,I lose the customization

Hello creators of uwuntu.

I've tried to upgrade uwuntu 20.04 to 22.04 and I've created a new cubic iso image,but I've realized that it lost the customization that was present on the 20.04 version. Can someone explain to me why and what can I do to preserve it ? just because I like it. I find it elegant,with no big changes made to unity but I like very much the idea to bring the start button on the bottom. At the same time,I think that ubuntu 20.04 is getting old and I would like to upgrade it to 22.04 without losing your customization.
