usb-creator: mount and see private data

when putting ubuntu-8.10 on a memory stick, usb-creator offers to store files on the stick as well. i put some in /home/ubuntu.

when i put the stick into a standard ubuntu, i have difficulties to find that directory. is there a special mount one should do?

When USB Creator offers to store files, it is referring to making your Live-USB persistent, which means you can make changes to the Live system and have them stick around after you restart the Live environment. It isn't intended to do what you were expecting.

It would be better to create a separate partition on your USB stick, and use that partition to save the files to. The 2nd partition should show up when you were in the persistent live environment, and when you were using the USB Stick as a regular storage device.

Can I add more packages to ubuntu live usb. I have put some files /home/ubuntu; but after restart i can't find it in the stick.
