console log --logdir should also work in job configs

I'm new to this forum, so I didn't want to open an issue off the bat.

console log --logdir <dir>

is detailed in the docs as only a command line argument. I imagine this would also be extremely useful in .conf files for your various jobs. Example use case: you're spawning multiple processes using a master job and you want to consolidate all your logs for the children in one file (could be hard-coded or maybe it could be set using an instance var, even).

Anyone have any tried and true (preferably not too hacky) methods to work around this?
