It seems that "init: ureadahead-other main process (xxxx) terminated with status 4" is not an error message, but a warning you can ignore.
In contrary, "mountall: Event failed" is a true error. It means Linux can't mount a partition under a directory.
Could you boot on Ubuntu CD, choose option "Try but don't install", Applications->Accessories->Terminal and
1) type
    sudo parted -l
where "-l" is lower case "-L", and post result.
2) mount internal disk and post file /media/<mount point>/etc/fstab

Can you help with this problem?
