Integration of KeyPassX Possible?

Asked by yoh

I love UPR and use it daily. But I was wondering if it would be possible to include a version of KeePassX or even KeePassC (https://github.com/raymontag/keepassc)? I appreciate the integration of Figaro's Password Manager 2, but lots of people already have existing keepass databases, and it would be great to be able to use them with UPR!

Thank you for developing UPR, it's greatly appreciated!

Sorry for answering so late - we've been busy with other things the last weeks. I know KeePass, but I could not tell how many people use it in contrast to FPM2. We've decided to use FPM2 back when we first created UPR 8.04. I cannot remember the exact reasons, I think it was a) the KeePass version in the Ubuntu repos was very old and b) we wanted a password manager which can copy the password to clipboard without displaying it on the screen. IIRC, KeePass can do the latter too, in the current version.

Anyway, I don't like the idea of having multiple solutions for one problem in UPR, but that is my personal opinion. I will add this request to our feature wishlist. But for the upcoming 12.04r1, we've already had our "feature freeze", so it will definitely have to wait until at least 12.04r2. Sorry for that.

Hope I could answer your question.
