how to install 12.04 from 8.04 help

currently runnin 8.04 and want to install 12.04,not good with these things,easy instructions please . thanx

If you enable (in update manager settings) to check for lts versions, it should pop up (after a sudo apt-get update/ or clicking check) that "12.04 LTS is availible-- upgrade". Things from then on should be self explanantory. Back up your data first in case things dont go according to plan.

Sorry but I don´t think you can upgrade from 8.04 > 12.04 because you will have to upgrade to 10.04 first.I don´t know is this way good to go.Maybe it is simpler to back up all valuable files and do fresh install of 12.04.
