Is it possible to detach one specific window from an application and make it a stand-alone instance in the Launcher?

I've created a custom Launcher icon which basically opens a link in a new Firefox window, acting like a custom application. Now, if I already have an instance of Firefox running, this newly opened window gets attached to Firefox. This causes a minor inconvenience and generally annoys me. Is it possible to force Launcher to treat this specific window as a stand-alone instance of Firefox every time it's opened?

Have you tried changing the command in the launcher to

firefox -new-instance (other parameters)

Firefox refuses to open a new instance if it's already running.
