Where is the Unity community?

A google search for unity does not bring up anything useful, just this launchpad page. Here I could not find answers to the questions I had:

- where is the official unity webpage?
- where do I report bugs or suggest improvements?
- If I want to contribute to Unity, where could I start? Is there some mailing list, chat or forum?
- What is the long term plan for Unity now that it is no longer default in Ubuntu?
