Autohide feature for Sidebar in Ubuntu 14 doesn't work

Asked by Alireza Davoudian

I am an ordinary Ubuntu user who just installed Ubuntu 14.04 as a guest OS on VMWare Fusion 7.1.2 on Mac OSX 10.10 .

When I enble the Autohide feature in Appearane system tools, the sidebar just hides and never shows again. I looked the forum for similar problems but it seems neither could help me with this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Alireza

The Launcher is designed to reveal (when hidden) under a number of circumstances.

First off, it should reveal when the mouse presses against the left edge of the screen. Second, it should reveal when the Alt-F2 key combination is struck from the keyboard. You should validate at least the keyboard reveal works.

If the mouse reveal is not working in VMWare Fusion there may be a problem in the graphics stack.
