How can I force the dash to be fullscreen?

Asked by Juan Montoya

When I press the Super/Windows key, a panel appears where I can type what I'm looking for.

When the screen resolution is small, that menu appears in fullscreen, which is good.
But on higher resolutions (1680x1050 in my case), the dash appears as a top-left window.

I want it always fullscreen. Is there a way to make this happen? maybe a config file somewhere where a threshold can be modified?

PS: I don't want this too badly as to recompile the whole thing from source.

On the upper left or top left of the Desktop there should be a small square to maximize and minimize the Dash. You may have to minimize or close down any applications that are running so the desktop is empty.

Also I forgot to mention to click on the Dash icon or press the super key to bring up the Dash first.
