How to find a program when we do nt remember it name?

Hello,
Before when i use a system with "menu" i search for programs by fetching some items on menu, it help to remember.. how could i browse for programs in unity?

Same problem here buddy.

i guess the only way out is to check ubuntu software center - installed programs

Adding a menu bar somewhere may on right should be there so that people dont feel alien after switching over.

Some of the ways you can do this is to hit the super key or click on the Ubuntu Dash and open it. Then just click on More Apps and go over to Installed. Just to the right of Installedyou will see a number for more results and a small arrow. Click on the arrow and it will expand where you can scroll down.
Another way is to go down to the lenses at the bottom and click on the filters Icon and make sure All is selected.

Note:
It is easier if you make the Dash full screen. There is a small box at the top left of the Dash for this.
If you installed a program that is not in the repository sources, it may not show up however.
