Unity upper panel menu

Hello
I testing unity few months, but I dont see it useable, because menu of the current window in upper panel is always hidden when mouse is off, so everytime I want to do something, I have to move mouse on the panel and select operation I want. Why, when it should be like mac os x, it always disappears ?
Is possible even reconfigure this behavior please ?

its possible to disable this behavior i.e. you can get them back in
your window though it is not possible to show them always in the
panel. Work is underway to improve the behavior though.

sudo apt-get purge indicator-appmenu

should do that for you, if you dont like the behavior you can get back by

sudo apt-get install indicator-appmenu (in a terminal)
