How to configure workscapes

In 10.10 unr unity i have 2 workspaces at default, dont know how to configure more ore less. With 11.04 alpha i have 8 workspaces on a simple laptop. Thats too much, but i don't know the place to configure this. I tried gconf-editor but this seems to configure metacity and not unity.

You can use CCSM (compiz config setting manager) to do that or install simple compiz setting manager.
