Performance problems since updating

I updated today via the PPA and have noticed my Dell Mini 9 is performing slower then ever. Also when I try to use the search function that zeitegest or whatever it is called nothing is ever found. Is there a way to disable it or to modify? Probablly a question for both projects, but please bring the old google search bar....

Laucnhing an application from the app takes forever to load so I usually double or triple click on it so have 2 or 3 apps running.

Please give me a switch to disable it or look into the performance

Hi, we know about this issue and are hoping to fix it for next weeks release (we're investigating why it's happened right now).

I realised there wasn't a tracking bug so have created one and linked it to this answer.

Can you help with this problem?
