Yes, the delay could be a workaround, but I still find it illogical. I continue to think that having global menu for maximized windows and local menus for un-maximized ones is the logical, and expected, behavior. But well, it seems that we (we = people that like Unity after all) are condemned to have just what Macs thinks it's nice.
Maybe convincing MacOs developers to change their behavior/add a configuration option will do the trick? ;-)
