Ability to set which browser to open the web inbox view

Asked by pt123 on 2011-08-19

I like to use my secondary browser as my mail client, as I am using gmail.

I don't like being logged into my email account in my default browser, because of privacy concerns with Google, and now with Google +.

So would it be possible to set an optional browser command for unity mail to use?

Currently it's impossible, but I can add the ability to use a custom command in one of coming releases.

For now you can copy /usr/share/applications/unity-mail.desktop to ~/.local/share/applications, then open it in gedit (gedit ~/.local/share/applications/unity-mail.desktop) and change the Command lines to what you like.
