Creating Ubuntu usb stick

Created a usb Ubuntu boot stick with UNetbootin. At the finish it said that it would not boot a Mac. I thought that was the whole point of using UNetbootin (ver. unetbootin-mac-6265.dmg). The MacBook Pro is mid 2010, core i7.

I've tried specifying different version of Ubuntu with no success. Same message at UNetbootin finish.
