Unetbooting on same HDD question

So I installed unetbootin on windows and loaded a 32-bit version of Ubuntu with it I restarted my PC and was able to choose win7 or unetbootin so I choose that and unbuntu loaded up as it would from a live CD or USB I launched Firefox cause I wanted to test it out and see if Ubuntu ran faster then windows. Everything was fine but when I went to a site I use alot in windows my username was already filled in and all I had to do was press sign in . did unetbootin import Firefox cookies or something from windows cause I never gave the site my username in Ubuntu as this was my first time but my user name was already filled in.

yes I believe the ubuntu installer has an option to import browser preferences from windows which is on by default, that's probably what you're seeing.

or oh you didn't actually install it to the hard drive? your site might be guessing your username based on your ip address in that case

didnt think a site could guess a username using ip address. is it possibly to use windows boot mangager if i install linux. so when i boot its just

Windows7
Ubuntu

and not a bunch of stuff like advanced or swap partitons ect.

it is actually possible for a site to keep track of users' ip addresses and use that to guess a username. not done much in practice though. anyhow these are all general ubuntu questions so I suggest you ask them on http://askubuntu.com/ or http://ubuntuforums.org/ they'll give you better answers than myself.
