I just need to run a DOS .exe once to update firmware

Asked by Joe

I have a Lenovo Ideapad S10. It has no booting OS, just grub. I read on the Unetbootin site somewhere that it includes a freeDOS utility to run .exe files. I can't find it documented.

Or is there another way to boot into DOS from usb?

FreeDOS is one of the distributions on the distribution list if you run the utility (drop down menu on the top of the program, see for example http://tuxtweaks.com/2009/09/create-a-bootable-freedos-usb-drive-on-linux-with-unetbootin/ ). So just install FreeDOS to a USB drive, boot it, and then run the exe.

Can you help with this problem?
