failed to make an XPpro boot USBstick

Asked by pepperonly

i am a windows user, and i love unetbootin-windows-442-tool, and its opportunities.
i already succeed to make some bootable flash drives.
i have successfully cracked my forgotten Windows XP with OPHcrack, and scanned for viruses on my pc with the Ubuntu live CD.
now i want to make a bootable USB flashdrive to reinstall windows XP.

i have selected "diskimage", and pointed to the XPiso.
i took a lot of time, but finely it finished its job and offers to reboot. I all just looks fine, it gave no errors but the flashdrive doesn't work.
after booting, there comes a menu, where i can choose for "default" there is an 10seconds countdown. And i can leave the menu with [TAB]

has anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem.

well i wandered that my problem had something to do with my virusscanner/shield, so a ran unebootin in the windows-safemode, but it gave the same unsatisfied result.

thanks allready,
pep.......

UNetbootin is a utility for creating Live USB drives for Linux distributions, it doesn't support Windows XP at the moment. If you want to create a Windows XP bootable drive, there are guides on it at http://boot-land.net

this answer is a little surprising for me,
i used to think that the this application could mount every iso as a CDrom-drive.
thanks for your reaction though.
