[MX4, OTA15] waiting for a gps signal

Asked by wilfridd

Hi,
uNav (v.0.72) is desperately "waiting for a gps signal" for a while then it displays "not found". Location detection and permissions are set. Location indicator icon is enabled (change outlined to white) when I look for a direction, but still waiting for gps signal...
SensorStatus gps says : Found supported backend, Active, Source status: No error. But latitude, longitude and other metrics are empty.
I used to make uNav work perfectly some weeks ago and had always to wait secondes for gps signal but generally speaking it had succeded to catch gps signal.
Please advise how to make it work again.
Thanks for your support!

Cheers,
Wilfridd

Hi wilfridd,

> SensorStatus gps says : Found supported backend, Active, Source status:
No error. But latitude, longitude and other metrics are empty.

Then you have your answer there. It's not a uNav issue, it's a device issue.

Try a reboot and run SensorStatus again. Leave it near to a window 1 hour.
Does it get any position? If it's empty, the system is not giving positions
to the app.

Best regards,

Hi,
Leaving the phone outdoor for a while with Sensorstatus on finally gave back GPS position...
Best regards,

Then, I would say you have GPS, but not AGPS. Please, contact with
UBPorts about that ;)
Best regards.
