uNav

easy to download map page or app

hi is there another way to download maps
ive tried jTileDownloader on my ubuntu install as shown but it doesnt work
doesnt seem to downalod
is there either another app
or is there a link i can download maps for

UK
Spain

also in osm scout this has facility to download maps
if i use this and move the maps it downloads to unav will these maps work?

ive downloaded to folders into maps on the sd card
one called spain and one england
around 1 gig each
the files consist of idx and dat files
are they the correct files
as ill just put a symlink in the directory to it and see if it works!

Hi Wayne,

Did you try thunder* tiles?

You can use http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/trusty/man1/downloadosmtiles.1p.html too.

I want to create countries tar.gz and a download manager, but this will be for a so far future, not now.

OSMScout maps will not work in uNav.
