Various translation issues
Ok, I've completed the translation (into Gaelic (gd)) barring 12 strings. Fortunately I've done this kind of translation before ;)
Several strings refer to "clicking". Should these not be worded as "tapping" since it's for Touch?
280
Click onto the icon for reviewing the route
291
Set an origin: Click on map and click on simulate icon
Set a destination: Then, click on map and click the same icon again
Several are unclear and should be commented:
64
PH
144
Convenience (is this a convenience store or a convenience stop?)
204
College (this means two very different things in the US and the rest of the world, what kind of college are we talking?)
One seems to be bad English:
104
Route so long (is this supposed to mean the route is TOO long?)
And several are tricky regard the use of placeholders:
204
Current road becomes (this probably means something like A73 becomes M3; this needs a %s placeholder so locales where the target road has to appear elsewhere in the sentence can move this around)
260, 262, 266, 267, 268
Enter the roundabout and take the exit %1
Take the exit %1
. Exit %1
to take the %1
toward %1
(There should be a comment about whether the placeholder is a number or a road name i.e. "A36" or "Hogburn Road" or "4". If it's a number, it should not have the definite article i.e "the exit %1" > "exit %1". In general, it's advisable to use different strings for road names and numbers because they often use different linguistic patterns)
