I've downloaded a file from your downloads page, what to do with it?

Launchpad downloads page is used only for releasing source code. If you want to try or install Ubuntu Furry Remix, click our external downloads link. The extension of the file you get from there should be .iso. If it isn't, see download methods FAQ: https://answers.launchpad.net/ufurmix/+faq/1033
The .iso file is a DVD disk image. One you get it, you need to burn its contents (not the .iso itself) to a blank DVD using a special program. For Windows we recommend InfraRecorder, for Linux - Brasero, for Mac OS X - Disk Utility. For details see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto
