We provide four ways of downloading Ubuntu Furry Remix, each has its own pros and cons:

1) The most reliable and one of the fastest ways is BitTorrent. It's a distributed data hosting system, relying on an advanced peer-to-peer technology in addition to several download mirrors. Files are checked for integrity and broken ones are repaired automatically. You'll need a BitTorrent client in order to use it. We recommend uTorrent for Windows and Mac, and Deluge or KTorrent for Linux. Transmission is not recommended because it relies on distributed hosting solely.

2) MetaLink is another fast and reliable way. It features downloading files from several mirrors and also checks file integrity and repairs broken ones automatically. We recommend DownThemAll! for downloading metalinks because it's lightweight and cross-platform. You can get it at https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/201
If you use KGet to download metalink, you also get benefits of BitTorrent's distributed hosting, but it's available only for Linux and Windows.

3) Basic web download. We don't recommend it because the file can be broken when transferred and you'll have to check its integrity manually (see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM), and if it's broken, use BitTorrent or MetaLink to fix it or simply try to download it again.

4) Upgrading from Ubuntu. If you have very limited bandwidth, no DVD drive or don't want to re-install your Ubuntu system, you can upgrade from Ubuntu. See https://answers.launchpad.net/ufurmix/+faq/1034 for details.
