How do I know what the live cd size will be

Asked by MarcelKoopman

I cant seem to calculate how big the live cd will be.
This is not handy because i am addding and deleting packages.
Only at the very last step I get a warning thats its too big, then i'm too late and I cant redo the process.

sudo ./uck-remaster-chroot-rootfs

root $ apt-get purge "what you want"
root $ exit

sudo ./uck-remaster-pack-rootfs
sudo ./uck-remaster-pack-iso

Still you need some time, but after several tries you can guess without doing the whole process again.

the only way , i think is to install and delete all packages all at once in synaptic and see the size there... just add 696 mb with it...

personally i only monitor the size of /var/apt/cache/archives when i remastered :)

Can you help with this problem?
