'casper' dir was renamed to 'install' in 16.04 ISO

Asked by Bart Jooris

Hi all,

I was using uck tool to modify a 16.04 iso.
The version of uck is 2.4.7-0ubuntu1, which came by default on my Ubuntu14.04 .

This is the output in the terminal:

Preparing build environment...
Creating X authentication cookie...
Running build process...
Build (/usr/bin/uck-gui --wait-before-exit) started at 2017-02-03 21:19:34

~/tmp/remaster-iso/casper/filesystem.squashfs: No such file or directory
Cannot mount ~/tmp/remaster-iso/casper/filesystem.squashfs in ~/tmp/remaster-root-mount, error=32

The filesystem.squashfs can be found in ~/tmp/remaster-iso/install.

Thanks,

Bart

Ubuntu Customization Kit has not been developed for years, and has the note
"!!!PROJECT DISCONTINUED!!!"
on its Launchpad homepage.

Recent Ubuntu releases differ from previous ones in a manner, that certain steps of UCK now fail.

You might read recent questions and bugs related to UCK on Launchpad.
A few workarounds can be found there for current problems with UCK.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Bart Jooris for more information if necessary.
