Check for xauth:

sysadmin@cassiopeia:~$ which xauth
/usr/bin/xauth
sysadmin@cassiopeia:~$ sudo apt-get install xauth

Hello, I've got *no* know-how about xauth :-(
May it be that UCK is searching for it anywhere else
or there is missing a config file for it?
I've tried several times - all the same.

Thank you for help!

Btw.:
1st time, uck failed because of missing (x)dialog.
Why aborting instead of autoinstall or message about this dependency?

Hello Janitor,
there is still no answer neither solution for this problem. Very very sad!

The first 2 days I visited Launchpad, then I waited for notification mail about some changes.

Would be nice to get *help* instead of 'expired' without any constructive answer. Thank you.

The error says it all: Minibuntu does not have "xauth" application
which is needed by build process. Try customizing full Ubuntu CD or
use scripting instead of GUI to customize Minibuntu.

Hello Fabrizio, very nice that I made you smile ;-))

Hello Krzysztof,
no way (ln ...) to make UCK use installed xauth (see above: /usr/bin/xauth) - or, if package needed, link to a download of it?

Tnx for answer.

Hello Fabrizio,

why didn't you say that you are engaged in both projects? I've found a launchpad page for UCK, too:

"
Fabrizio Balliano said on 2007-12-24:

are you using uck-gui, it should not work with minibuntu because minibuntu does not have all the X environment, try the uck-remaster-* scripts instead
"

Ok. I think - with Minibuntu there is no practicable solution without scripting :-( ... would be nice to see a more simple way.

You may close this question, if this is sadly fact.

I try to go through the remaster-topics as soon as I've got the time - and hope I understand ...

this is not a "sadly fact", minibuntu has no X thus you can't hope to run X software inside it, I'm sorry... anyway if you use apt-get to install software on your ubuntu you surely can install software on minibuntu using uck because it's absolutely the same.

Can you help with this problem?
