how to create a link from Desktop to /usr/share/doc/example-content ?

Asked by Horst F JENS

I looked at the caspar scripts but i could not figure out how to do a very simple thing:

Ho to create a link into the folder /usr/share/example-content from the Desktop ?

Such a link exist already in the home directory, but not in the Desktop.

I want that the link is displayed for both the live CD user as well as after an full HD install.
The link should be called "learning python" and point more exactly to
/usr/share/example-content/learning_python (a folder i create into example-content).

this uck project makes my old dream come true: creating a python learning live-cd for my students:
with zero installation/setup, but with the option to make an full Ubuntu HD-Install.

Thanks for your work guys, you are great !

hi and thank you Horst,
you should put your link in the /etc/skel directory, this will be used when the user's home directory will be created :)

wow , thank you !
i noticed that the link to the /usr/share/example-content directory is already on the desktop if i use a xubuntu iso as base. But now i can try to customize the link. Thank you for the fast answer.
