mounting squashFS image mount error when customizing a live CD

Asked by clint

I am trying to update the Ubuntu image so that Adobe Flash is updated. I get an error when trying to update it. Here is the build.log file.

Ubuntu Customization Kit 2.0.12
Starting CD remastering on Mon Jul 30 12:49:02 PDT 2012
Customization dir=/home/knight/tmp/customization-scripts
Removing ISO remastering dir...
Mounting ISO image...
Unpacking ISO image...
Unmounting ISO image...
Mounting SquashFS image...
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/loop0,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so

Cannot mount /home/knight/tmp/remaster-iso/casper/filesystem.squashfs in /home/knight/tmp/squashfs-mount, error=32

How do I fix this?

- you are using a very old version of UCK - I suggest you update at least to the latest version available for your release in the UCK-STABLE PPA.
- The error may also be caused by a bad initial ISO - either damaged in the download, a not live-cd (e.g. server or minimal) or a cd from another distribution (e.g. the version of sqaushfs used on the CD is too new for the old squashfs module of your running system to handle - have a look at the FAQ's).

This specific error has been discussed many times before - so you might want to have a look at questions answered and bugs resolved in UCK as well.

Can you help with this problem?
