Prevent /home/username from being deleted using GUI

Asked by Andarist

Hello,

I'm currently trying to create a live disk that would have a single Window's game installed on it. So far I have been successful, and UCK is currently the only tool that actually allows me to install Cedega onto the ISO. I have, however, run in to a snag. UCK removes the /home/user directory, and possibly a number of other directories, once the customization process is completed, which removes everything that Cedega has installed. Is there any way to modify the scripts used by the uck-gui to prevent this from happening?

no way this could be done, and anyway having that dir won't be useful for your final cd cause ubuntu live boot does use a different username from the one you've on your system

you need to save your home folder to /etc/skel before quitting uck customization console, it will be used as skeleton of your livecd session home dir

Can you help with this problem?
