UCK PROBLEM wget:missing url

I don't know what is the exact problem, my internet connection is at full speed & I have downloaded lot of packages for my Customized DVD & at last when i clicked on continue building, i got a error that is displayed below

I am not a linux pro, so please help me accordingly

Details are:
Welcome to Ubuntu Customization Kit 2.4.4!
(Running on Ubuntu 11.04, 2.6.38-8-generic i686)
I used a 32 bit ubuntu image11.04 on a 32 bit ubuntu11.04 installed .
Machine has a intel dual core processor with 15 gb free space

In order to implement boot time customizations UCK needs to download the "gfxboot-theme-ubuntu" source package appropriate for the version of Ubuntu you are customizing.

For some reason that does not work, but without further information I cannot really help.

Please provide the following additional information:
- Which version of UCK are you using? (( uck states its version number in the greeting screen when started;
  if you are running a recent version of uck it will also state what system/Ubuntu version it is running on.))
  On my system the first two lines of the greeting screen read:
         "Welcome to Ubuntu Customization Kit 2.4.4!
          (Running on Ubuntu 10.10, 2.6.35-28-generic x86_64)"

- What system are you running UCK on? ((Open a terminal and type the command
                uname -a
  and paste output into answer if it is not displayed on the UCK greeting screen))

- What version of Ubuntu are you running ((In same terminal type the command
               lsb_release -dir
   and paste output into answer, if not displayed on the uck greeting screen))

- What system are you trying to customize?
  If you are running a recent version of UCK this information can be found in
  the customization log file (~/tmp/build.log). Essentially you need to give the
  same information as for the system you are running on - architecture, ubuntu
  version. If your ISO was named 'ubuntu-11.04-desktop-i386.iso' then all the
  required information is in there: system-type == i386, ubuntu-version == 11.04.

Please try to install the "gfxboot-theme-ubuntu" package.

Other sources tell me that this no longer is part of a vanilla Natty (11.04) installation but its presence is required by the current UCK version.

The gfxboot is known to be problematic. Normal Ubuntu doesn't use it. Is it possible for UCK not using it?

Hi,

I'm the same problem. I'm on 11.04 version and when I build my ISO I have this error:

Running ISO customization script /home/kanhiya/tmp/customization-scripts/customize_iso...
wget: missing URL
Usage: wget [OPTION]... [URL]...
Try `wget --help' for more options.
Unable to download gfxboot-theme-ubuntu source package from
Press ENTER to close the terminal

I installed the "gfxboot-theme-ubuntu" package but the problem is the same :/

I fixed this problem.

Edit your file:

/usr/lib/uck/customization-profiles/localized_cd/customize_iso

search the line:

GFXBOOT_THEME_UBUNTU_SOURCE_PACKAGE=`wget -q -O - http://packages.ubuntu.com/$DISTRO_CODENAME/gfxboot-theme-ubuntu | grep ".tar.gz" | cut -d '"' -f2`

and replace with these two lines:

tempgfx=$(wget -q -O - http://packages.ubuntu.com/$DISTRO_CODENAME/gfxboot-theme-ubuntu)
export GFXBOOT_THEME_UBUNTU_SOURCE_PACKAGE=$(echo $tempgfx | cut -d">" -f 125 | cut -d'"' -f2)

It works!

The latest svn doesn't work. It return the same error:

Unable to download gfxboot-theme-ubuntu source package from -//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN

In the line:

GFXBOOT_THEME_UBUNTU_SOURCE_PACKAGE=`wget -q -O - http://packages.ubuntu.com/$DISTRO_CODENAME/gfxboot-theme-ubuntu | grep ".tar.gz" | cut -d '"' -f2`

GFXBOOT_THEME_UBUNTU_SOURCE_PACKAGE always return the value //W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN.

If I comment this line it works.
