How to add / update kernel

I've a kernel with aufs enable but I don't have find a way to avoid the aufs mount error.
What is the procedure to update kernel ?

we're working on that right now, there are some troubles with aufs we still don't have a way to solve them

I just realize aufs2 is not yet supported by 2.6.36...
