Can ubuntu-10.10-rc-desktop-i386.iso be rebuilt with UCK ? without the - Error 127 Failed to build gfxboot theme

Asked by John H

Attempting to build a customized cd with UCK 2.2.1 and the ubuntu-10.10-rc-desktop-i386.iso, the build fails every time with Error code 127 Failed to build gfxboot theme - I have tried adding the gfxboot-theme-ubuntu package, squashfs-tools and grub legacy version packages? into the build and leaving out autorun and wubi files and get the same result. Is there a way round this, or is this version not yet suitable for the UCK.

try installing gfxboot-dev, but anyway 2.2.1 was released before 10.10 so will surely have problems, you should wait the next release

I thought by using a pre-release image that future updates would make it stable, but I may be completely wrong. Either way installing gfxboot-dev solved it, there seems to be no problems at all. Thanks
