using uck_2.2.0 and ubuntu10.4 desktop, if my iso file size is over 1 GB i am asked for login and password. No such question if iso < 700 MB

Asked by Horst F JENS

I get asked for username and password (wich i don't know) at login if my iso is bigger than 1 GB (have to test more to find out exact value).

I use uck_2.2.0 on my ubuntu10.4 desktop (386) and customize the original ubuntu10.4 desktop iso. I use German language and Gnome.

All i do is installing some packages via Synaptic and copying files into /etc/skel/Desktop

My impression is that if the file size of the iso is < 700 MB, i can boot from the iso ( get asked correctly if i want to "try out ubuntu" or "install ubuntu".)

However if the file size is > 1 GB, i can boot from the iso but i do not get asked if i want to try out or install ubuntu; instead i see a graphical login prompt and should log in with username and password (i do not know them).

Any ideas of how to avoid this ? I do not want to get asked for username and password.

greetings,
 -Horst

maybe the problem is not the file size but the packages you install, they could break the login phase of the livecd and so you get asked for login/pass
what do you think?

Can you help with this problem?
