How to move a file from one directory to another?

Asked by Sitarane

I uploaded a file in "my files", then created a new directory and wanted to move that file in the newly created directory. I did not find how to do that. Do I need to delete the file and upload it again?

Are you using the web interface or the Ubuntu One folder on your desktop?

web interface.

After reading the ressources on Ubuntu One, I had come to the conclusion that the following files would be saved to the cloud:
+The files that I chose to store in the Ubuntu One folder
+The files that I uploaded on the web interface

It did not occur to me that moving a file to the Ubuntu One folder would not actually move it but would just request the cloud to upload it.

But right now, I just put a folder there, and it moved. So I was right.

Yes, file management is currently not available in the web interface.

Can you help with this problem?
