sudo dpkg -configure-a missing

when i run this all i get is file missing

The exact command should be:

sudo dpkg --configure -a

Note the two dashes in front of "configure", and only one dash in front of "a". Also, there should be a space between the two.

If you've already typed the command exactly as above, and it still gives an error, can you copy and paste the exact error message here?
