addresses list, gmail, ubuntu.one

Asked by Jerónimo

How can I export from, or share with, gmail addresses to ubuntu.one directly, not rewriting them one by one manually in contact folder?, or get them directly from gmail addresses list, in sharing files.

Hmm... I was thinking that the exact same thing! It couldn't be *that* hard to get working either - gmail already provides a way to import/export contacts as csv values. Just need to find a way to automate the upload/download, and then interpret the results...

Hi Jerónimo, Adriaan,

So far, there is no direct way of synchronizing gmail contacts with the cloud. A possible workaround would be this:

* import your gmail contacts into evolution, export them, and import them back into your couchdb contacts DB

Hope this helps. Good luck!
