Hide Ubuntu One notification popups?

Asked by Nicolas Galler

Is it possible to hide the "Ubuntu One is updating your files" and "Ubuntu One finished updating your files" notification popups? I can hide the icon in the preferences but the popups are still showing, they are rather big and disruptive.

I commented out the 2 notifications in the ubuntuone-client-applet for now. But would be nicer if it was possible to do it via preferences. Well, I could create a patch if desired - just not sure of the process to submit one yet.

No, it is not currently possible to hide the notification popups. It's good that you could ajdust the code to your needs, though. :-) Yes, it would be better to have settings, otherwise you'll have to reapply your changes at each client update. A patch would be most appreciated!

The best way is to create a bug to track your work, at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client/+filebug , and create a branch for it in Launchpad with Bazaar, see https://code.launchpad.net/ubuntuone-client and
https://help.launchpad.net/Code/QuickStart#Push%20a%20Bazaar%20branch%20to%20your%20project .

We look forward to your contributions!
