CLI for UbuntuOne client

Asked by MikeR

Is there a command-line-interface for the Ubuntu One client?

Is there a way of pausing the client from the command line if I want my full potential bandwidth allocated to something else while being able to resume uploading files where I left off?

Hi Mike, There is a command-line utility you can install: ubuntuone-client-tools This will provide the ability to sync files from the command line, but it won't give you the ability to "pause" Ubuntu One while it's syncing.

A pause button would be helpful. What is the current best practice for interrupting a sync when I need to shut down my box, change wifi networks, etc?

Just doing it should work. There's a bug right now where the syncdaemon gets confused by some suspend/resume cycles and some network configuration changes; a workaround to that would be to disconnect the syncdaemon before effecting the change.
