What TCP or UDP ports does Ubuntu One use to communicate.

Asked by Craig

Hello All

What TCP or UDP ports does Ubuntu One use to communicate.

I have UbuntuOne installed on my laptop. At home on ADSL I have no problems connecting. However at work behind the firewall I do not get a connection.

Are there a set up ports that I can open for it to work.

Craig

Hi! Ubuntu One uses the https port to communicate, which is port 443,
TCP.

Hi

I can access the website https://ubuntuone.com/ and login successfully and see my files.

However the Ubuntu One client can not make a direct connection and sync my files.

Are you behind a proxy? I believe we have a bug open right now
aboutcthe client not using the configured https proxy.

Hei, Craig, I got the same problem.

"I can access the website https://ubuntuone.com/ and login successfully and see my files.
However the Ubuntu One client can not make a direct connection and sync my files." Mine is exactly the SAME with yours.

Is that because I installed the Firestarter? But I've already opened the HTTPS port for Ubuntu one.

Is anyone got any solution?

Thanks a million.

Hi

My problem was relating to using Ubuntu One behind a transparent proxy. An update to the U-One code has fixed the issue.

I used Update Manager. I got the new code as part of the normal day to day patching.
