Joshua is torturing me by entering questions here that he sees people asking all over the .net, it's not really as crazy as it looks.

No, we don't have any plans to release the server code, so you won't be able to run it on your home server. It would be neat if someone came up with a way to extend Ubuntu One to sync to your home server though, I would be really interested to see that.

yes, me too.

and i totally do not get why there aren't any plans to release the server code. it would be such a useful software. is there a reason? actually i don't see a point in supporting ubuntu one without this perspective.
