Default Ubuntu One Folder

Asked by Aaron

I can't seem to find a consensus on how to do this or whether it's even possible. I installed the U1 Qt control panel on my KDE desktop. I want to either change the location of U1's default folder (/home/~/UbuntuOne) or at least rename it to ".Ubuntu One" so it stays hidden (and it would be even better if I could do both). I've seen posts that talk about creating symlinks, and then I've seen other posts that say that symlinks won't work and that Canonical has no plans to allow users to modify the default folder. In any case, has anyone been able to do this?

Sorry, Ubuntu One doesn't support symlinks, and you can't move the folder elsewhere either.

Can you help with this problem?
