Change Ubuntu One account on windows

Asked by Dejavou42

How do you change the Ubuntu One user account on windows? I accidentally created a new account instead of logging into my existing account when I installed Ubuntu One on windows 7. I have tried uninstalling the program, and deleting everything in /users/(USERNAME)/AppData/local/xdg/ubuntuone. I know its just a matter of deleting the configuration file, but I can't seem to find it.

Hello, and sorry about the inconvenience this caused you.

What you should do is stop ubuntu one, remove the same folder you removed before, then go to the control panel, credential manager, and delete the Ubuntu One credentials.

Then, the next time you start Ubuntu One, it will ask you to login again.

Doesn't work for me... There's no credential to delete, the /users/(USERNAME)/AppData/local/xdg/ubuntuone folder is deleted, the program files folder is deleted, every folder that only sounds like "ubuntu" is deleted and if i install it again, it still knows the account!!!! Where ist that **** file that still keeps the infos?!

Ubuntu One stores the login tokens in the Windows Credentials Manager. Here's some info on how to access it: http://www.techtalkz.com/windows-7/516035-credential-manager-windows-7-a.html

Was this ever resolved? I am having the same problem. I went to credential manager as suggested, but I do not see any credentials there for Ubuntu One. Can you give some more details about what I should do once in the credential manger? I only see one credential and it is very clearly not related to unbuntu one.

Can you help with this problem?
