what is a u1conflict file?

Asked by Larry Jordan

Lately, I've been getting files in folders where I write programs that have a u1conflict extension. As best I can figure out, this has something to do with Ubuntu One services. What, exactly, does it mean? Are they files that haven't been "synchronized" yet on U1? Will they disappear once that happens? My biggest concern, and the reason I started noticing them, is that they often appear when I recompile with gcc, and the executable doesn't. If I thought it would help, I'd remove U1 and stop using it, since I don't really get that much out of it anyway. The indications on line, however, suggest that doesn't fix the problem.

Thanks. Seems to be a known bug, then - hope it gets fixed. Will post this and any further to the bug report(s).

I'm not sure it is any of those bugs, they just resemble your problem strongly. You may want to visit those bug pages, see if there's any information that helps you, and if the bugs really do describe your situation, you may be able to provide useful information to those bugs.

I also marked this as affecting the project "Ubuntu One Client" with the hope that people who are specifically knowledgeable about your problem will be able to help you. However, if you keep this marked Solved, that will probably not happen. So if you do want help, I recommend reopening this question.
