How to Sync Sticky Notes?

Asked by James Brice

How can "sticky notes" (gnome-applet) be synced between computers using Ubuntu One? Yes, I know that the facility is built-in to sync Tomboy Notes, but I find I do not use Tomboy as it is just too clumsy and doesn't have the essential usability features (i.e. auto-open) that I find makes sticky notes a delight to use.

Sticky Notes are stored in the file ~/.gnome2/stickynotes_applet . I'm sure a U1 person can help you figure out how to symlink or rsync or something that file into your U1 share.

Can you help with this problem?
