U1 Mobile Phone Client

Asked by Nick Fletcher

Hi all,

I am pretty convinced that this is going to turn out to be a stupid question, but here goes anyway:

I am trying to add my Blackberry 8900 Curve to my Ubuntu One account. I have got to the point where it gives me a username and password and then askes me to download the client from http://syncml.one.ubuntu.com/bb/sync.jad (at https://one.ubuntu.com/phones/). When I use this link all I get is a file called sync.jad (as you would expect) downloaded to my desktop. What do I do with this file now?

Additionally do I require the Funambol Client? If so do I have to download and compile the one from their site or do you offer one on the repos?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Hi Nick,

You need to download that file directly from your blackberry. That should offer you to install it and you should be good to go.

The Funambol client is the .jad file you are offered.
